The E2 Conversion Head is a drop-in replacement unit that upgrades your Surefire E2 series flashlight. The head is a completely contained unit that includes a machined aluminum housing and shatter-proof bezel. Simply swap the E2 Conversion with the current head and you are good to go. Our conversion head turns your Surefire E1 Series light into a MUCH higher-output, longer-running LED flashlight. This new LED provides a nice smooth beam with plenty of reach and useable side spill. This is an important feature because most current LED lights fall into one of two categories: long-reaching/ tightly focused beams that have no useable side spill, and wide beams with no reach. Our new LEDs give you the best of both worlds, allowing you to transition between outdoor and indoor missions using the same light. The side spill is amazing and allows you to see into the corners and shadows of rooms.
When we say “higher output,” we mean HIGHER OUTPUT. The E2 Conversion Head will make you think you have a whole new flashlight. The LED is incredible. The maximum output is a staggering 200 Lumens for an average of 2+ hour run times on two CR123 batteries! We have been very impressed with the results and use these replacement heads in our everyday carry lights. The E2 Conversion Head is available in either a one or two-stage light. The Single Stage light gives you full power every time you turn it on. The Two Stage light gives you half or full power, accomplished by toggling the clicky cap. Clicking it a third time will cycle the unit off. This feature is useful for those times when you do not need a full, blinding light output, but want to retain the option if the need arises.
We also offer it with two different bezel shapes: plain and strike. The Plain Bezel is smooth and simply offers a conversion to your existing light. The Strike Bezel features an aggressive spiked housing that bridges the gap between a standard Surefire strike bezel and a raptor’s claws! We were not happy with the current serrations on flashlight strike bezels and set out to create something with more bite. Sure, hitting someone with a metal flashlight housing is going to hurt and momentarily stun an attacker. But the razor sharp serrations of our strike bezel will give an attacker a lot more to think about. The serrations are sharper and more pronounced than a standard strike bezel, making the E2 Conversion Head a more formidable option for those needing a defensive tool, but cannot carry a gun. We recommend these units for Law Enforcement and Military customers, but are also perfect for women and college students who want a defensive tool, but are not comfortable with a gun or knife.
