The Ground Commander’s Pointer (GCP) was developed by NVS to act as a force multiplier aid on the battlefield. It is a small, hand-held class IIIb IR Laser Pointer that puts out a more powerful beam than more commonly-used weapon mounted laser units. The GCP is a dedicated pointer available in 50, 100, or 175 mW. The powerful IR beam shows up very bright through night vision devices and can be easily seen by air units for calling in Close Air Support (CAS). Other uses are directing ground fire, pointing out targets, and deploying assets. It can also act as a signaling device for search and rescue. The robust polymer housing will withstand the rigors and abuses of the battlefield.

IR Lasers are restricted to Law Enforcement and Government sales only and cannot be sold to civilians. Purchase of IR Laser equipment can only occur at the Department, Agency, or Unit level. IR Lasers cannot be sold to individual Law Enforcement, Military, Government, or Contractor personnel. No exceptions. If you are a government employee and would like to purchase an IR laser, you must have your agency place the order for you. We do not make the rules, but we do follow them.
