VTAC Light Mount

The Viking Tactics Light Mount has quickly become the standard among the US Special Operations Community. It is another super simple, yet extremely effective, product from the folks at VTAC. The VTAC Light Mount is an ultra lightweight versatile option for placing a tactical light on your fighting carbine. The clamp style mechanism securely holds a 1” diameter light or 0.80” light using the secure shim insert. The shim is a new addition to the VTAC Light Mount that increases its versatility by allowing it to hold smaller diameter lights like the Surefire E2. It is designed with a slot that will accommodate the clip as well. By removing the shim, the VTAC Light Mount will securely hold a larger diameter light such as the Surefire G2 or 6P series. This system takes a lot of weight out of the gun, making it handier during long ops. The mount offsets the light above or below the side rail, placing it at an optimum position for the cradle or vertical grip method. The light stays close to center bore to decrease snag hazards.

We have been finding less and less heavy dedicated weapon lights on the carbines in the US Special Operations Community. The weight savings gained by using a smaller light in a lightweight mount are just too good to pass up. The output of the smaller lights is easily brought up to spec with the larger dedicated lights by using one of our drop in Q5 lamp modules. This combination is in use by experienced shooters in multiple theaters around the world.
