Aimpoint Lens Cap with Integrated ARD

So, sometimes you need an Anti-Reflective Device and sometimes you don’t.  ARD’s are great for long range camouflage where you are in a fixed position and you don’t want to take the chance that light will reflect off your Aimpoint’s objective lens.  But, the honeycomb is visible through the optic and can sometimes interfere with acquiring the red dot while running and gunning.  Traditional ARD’s (also known as Killflash) are threaded and screw into the objective.  They can be difficult to remove quickly and then you have to keep track of it when it’s taken off the optic.

The Aimpoint Lens Cap with Integral ARD has a dual flip mechanism that provides a spring-loaded lens cap and ARD.  The lens cap flips out the way, leaving the ARD in place.  If it’s not needed, the ARD can be flipped out the way as easily and quickly as the lens cap.  This dual-function lens cap is designed for Aimpoint Comp series sights with 30mm lenses.
