Galvion’s Batlskin Viper A3 Helmet, built in the ACH shape and designed specifically for Law Enforcement, Special Forces and SWAT personnel, stops NIJ IIIA level threats. Manufactured to meet stringent quality standards, this aramid helmet delivers the level of ballistic and impact head protection demanded for tough tactical operations and meets U.S. Army Standard for impact protection. The Batlskin Viper A3 Helmet is the foundation for all Batlskin modular components, including the Front Mount, Interlocking and Standalone Long Rails, Mandible Guard & Visor.

The Viper A3 series features a low profile design for enhanced comfort and is compatible with all NVG’s, CBRN Gear, and Communications Devices.  It is tested for ballistic performance at temperatures from -40°F to 158°F.  The Viper A3 comes with a standard issue suspension chin strap and moveable 0.75″ (#6) pads for a custom fit.

Here are some things to consider when ordering a Ballistic Helmet. Will you be wearing COMs equipment in conjunction with your helmet? If so, you should measure your head for fit with the COMs headset on. If you are right on the fence between a “Medium” and a “Large” shell, we recommend going with the Large. Take it from us: your head will thank you.

You should also consider what type of night vision mounting system you will be attaching to your helmet. There are two types: Standard One-Hole Mounts and Standard Three-Hole Mounts (MARSOC/ WARCOM pattern). You will want to order your helmet pre-drilled with the pattern required for your mount. We do not recommend drilling your helmet to attach a night vision mount. Not only do you risk drilling the holes in the wrong position, but you also compromise the sealant finish on your helmet. At the factory, the helmet shell is drilled before it is sprayed with the finish. This insures the holes are sealed. By drilling through this finish, you expose the Kevlar fibers to the elements. Moisture will get in there and cause the Kevlar layers to separate over time.

PLEASE NOTE: This helmet is Level IIIa Body Armor and is subject to any and all restrictions concerning civilian ownership of body armor. Body armor cannot be owned or sold to persons convicted of a felony. Body armor cannot be exported outside the United States. Buyers are required to fill out and sign a body armor waiver or show current U.S. Military or Law Enforcement I.D. Residents of Connecticut are prohibited from buying Body Armor (unless the buyer is a police officer, Police Department, or military). We cannot ship to Connecticut, or even accept credit cards billed there for body armor sales.
