Aimpoint Killflash ARD

The Aimpoint Killflash is drop accessory for the Aimpoint COMP series of sights. It is designed to reduce the glare off the optic’s objective lens, better concealing the operator’s position. This is an obvious advantage to the Warfighter, Law Enforcement Professional, and Hunter. The honeycomb pattern helps trap light, eliminating the refraction from an oblique angle. The Killflash simply threads into the COMP Series sight’s housing and requires no tools to install.

We find the Killflash to be a particularly useful tool. While not a mandatory accessory on the range, we would recommend it for anyone going into harm’s way because it really does work. One thing to note is that it does block some of the objective lens’ light-gathering ability and some shooters may find they have to increase the brightness of their dot to help acquire it during high speed operations. This is due to the relatively short length of the optic which causes the honeycomb pattern to be more visible than longer, magnified scopes. But, overall, if properly trained in the use of a red dot optic, you will not have any problems.
