TNVC is extremely proud and extremely pleased to announce that we have partnered with Envision Technology, LLC of Manchester, New Hampshire as a stocking distributor of the MARS Miniature Advanced Rangefinder System-Family as well as the RAIL Rail Mounted Aiming / Illumination Laser!
While Envision Technology, founded in 2019 in Manchester, New Hampshire is not a household name to most consumers and even many end-users, the team behind Envision includes some of the most brilliant minds and most experienced and well-respected designers, engineers, and staff in the entire Night Vision / Visual Augmentation Systems and some of them have touched the lives of every professional night vision user since the days when the AN/PAQ-4 reigned supreme.
In their own, more modest words, Envision was “founded on the principles of listening to the user’s needs, developing innovative products with an understanding of those needs, and focusing on a streamlined development and manufacturing philosophy… and recognize that our success depends on the mission success of our customers.” While the folks at Envision don’t much like the limelight, their products and services and capabilities are some of the most sought after of those “in the know” in the VAS and end-user industry, manufacturing some of the most advanced products and used by some of the most elite organizations in existence, and at the cutting edge night vision technology.
Rail Mounted Aiming/ Illuminator Laser (RAIL)
The RAIL and RAILc share their DNA with the Envision MARS Miniature Advanced Rangefinder System (MARS), which was recently awarded a contract by USSOCOM for the Miniature Aiming Ranging Laser (MARL) program and has been developed and tested while integrating extensive feedback from end-users, resulting in a highly intuitive and ergonomic multi-function aiming laser (MFAL) system in an exceptionally small formfactor, weighing under 6 ounces, including the onboard, laterally mounted CR123battery, making it more resistant to recoil and weapon shock even when used on belt fed or heavy caliber weapons.
The RAIL and RAILc feature coaligned, output adjustable NIR and visible aiming lasers as well as an independently adjustable (elevation/wind/beam divergence/ output power)VCSEL NIR illumination laser and a wide-angle NIR LED illuminator for confined spaces or Close Quarters Battle (CQB)and is user configurable for VIS and CQB override modes and are available with either green and red visible aiming lasers as well as Class3B (Restricted) and Class 3R (Commercial) output variants
The RAIL and RAILc measure <3.7” x 2.4” x 1.4” (height above rail), about the size of a pack of Class A cigarettes and occupying a similar footprint to the USSOCOM LA-23 aiming laser. Yet despite its small size, like the MARS, the RAIL and RAILc is once again a masterclass in human factors engineering, ergonomics, and “switchology” for weapon-mounted low-light enablers featuring control interfaces that are both large and distinct enough to be distinguished and activated in the dark by feel alone even while wearing gloves without creating snag points or protuberances from the main housing, adding to the overall rail space needed for effective control and manipulation. The RAIL’s switchology is a testament to the insight possessed by Envision’s design, engineering, and leadership teams and gained from decades of designing and building world-class NIR aiming lights and lasers with direct end-user feedback.
Even the attachment for the RAIL’s optional three-button remote switch is smartly designed, featuring an environmentally sealed, flat attachment point rather than a “plug port” that is self-contained within the device footprint, creating a further “rail-estate” penalty for using remote device activation, and remote switches are available in 6”, 12”,and 20” lengths to provide maximum flexibility to end-users for a multitude of platforms and mounting configurations.
The Rail Mounted Aiming/Illumination Laser (RAIL) brings a weapon mounted aiming and illumination capability to the user in an exceptionally small form factor. The RAIL contains an integrated visible aiming laser (Green or Red), NIR aiming laser, NIR illumination laser, and NIR wide-angle LED illuminator for confined spaces or Close Quarters Battle (CQB). The NIR illumination laser has a quick adjust beam divergence capability and is independently adjustable from the co-aligned aiming lasers. All lasers have user adjustable power settings to support various mission needs. The system is powered by a single CR123 battery and mountable to a standard MIL-STD-1913 rail.
User Benefits

ITAR controlled under USML Category XII(b)(2).
Export of Night Vision Equipment, including range finders/ MFALs such as the MARS/ RAIL family of products, or related accessories (such as manuals) is strictly regulated by the US Department of State in accordance with the guidelines of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). It is a major crime to ship or carry US manufactured night vision devices outside the borders of the United States, punishable by fines and prison sentences. Ignorance of these regulations will not hold up in court. By purchasing night vision equipment from TNVC, you attest that you will not attempt to export or carry this night vision equipment outside the borders of the United States. Also, it illegal to allow a non-US Citizen to look through US Gen3 Night Vision Devices, even on US soil. Again, this is a crime punishable by fines and prison sentences.
