Description
The VIP Tripwire Battery Cap turns a standard VIP Infrared Beacon into a covert alert system. The Tripwire Battery cap replaces the standard VIP battery cap. Simply tie a piece of line to the screw at the tip of the cap and secure it to another point along a trail or perimeter. The tripwire battery cap is a two part design. A small module is magnetically held in place in the main cup, which is threaded into the battery housing. The VIP bezel is rotated to the “ON” position, but the unit will not flash until the tripwire cup magnet is removed. When an intruder trips the line, magnet module is pulled from the battery cap cup and the VIP begins flashing overt visible light or covert infrared light.
This setup is particularly good for perimeter monitoring under goggles or trail monitoring while hunting. The VIP can be mounted in the Universal Mount and affixed to the VIP Ground Spike, or it can simply be attached to a tree or bush.
